Dear Amy,
As we interviewed daycare centers in the area I can remember coming in to Alphabet Academy and feeling like it was “just right!” From the warmth of the building to the amazing spirit and dedication of the staff my husband and I knew that this is where we wanted our little guy to spend his everyday!  As a late walker and talker, much of my worries were always about, “would they give him what he needed!”

Our little guy quickly became a big guy under the loving care of every member of the Toddler 1 and Toddler 2 rooms.  Despite his every tearful drop off, he quickly potted, talked up a storm and flourished with his social and academic skills. When it came time for preschool my husband and I talked lots about the possibility of enrolling our son in the “free” public preschool program at the school that I teach at.  We realized that the love and individual attention as well as the rigorous curriculum that Alphabet Academy would provide was much more important to us, so our son continued on in both Preschool 3 and 4.

I was always so impressed with the amazing amount of art, play and academics that the teachers at Alphabet Academy were able to weave into the kid’s every day!  Even though our big guy was always on the “shyer” side of the spectrum, every teacher always embraced his needs and made “me” feel at peace.  My husband and I sometimes couldn’t believe the conversations at the dinner table about his day!  He’d surprise us with bits of information that were even sometimes new to us!  We were so happy to know that our 2nd child would also join the Alphabet Academy family in the Toddler 1s room and be nourished in the same way!

Now that our big guy is off to kindergarten we feel so blessed to have had his first four years of school under the nourishing care of the entire staff at Alphabet Academy!  We want to send a special warm thank-you to Amy and her staff having an incredible vision for their school and seeing it through every day!
Thank you so very much!

Dear Amy,
We want to express our deep appreciation to Alphabet Academy for the exemplary care provided for our twins, Ellis and Kiran. Your staff employs great responsibility, care, concern, practicality, and an overall understanding of a child’s psycho-social developmental needs. While our time at Alphabet was short, we saw wonderful changes in Ellis and Kiran as they learned new skills, including finding better ways to communicate with words rather than using inappropriate actions like hitting or biting.

From strictly a business perspective, Alphabet Academy exhibited efficiency and clarity with regard to the responsibilities of the Academy and the parent(s). For us, safety and health issues were a concern and the Academy fostered peace of mind in that area. Additionally, we never felt uninformed about the well-being of our children, and when we had a concern or comment the staff quickly attended to it. We would recommend Alphabet Academy to any parent for the above mentioned reasons and more. If a prospective parent wished to contact us about our experience please provide them with our phone number or email address.

As we settle in our new home in Arizona we are finding it difficult to locate a daycare facility similar to yours. The Academy has set a high standard to follow! Our family is grateful for having had the experience of interacting with all the delightful individuals at Alphabet Academy. We wish you continued success, happiness and peace in the coming years.

To Amy and All the Dedicated Staff at Alphabet Academy,
Our family wants to express our heart-felt thanks for all you do.  We became part of the Alphabet Academy family August 2009.  Our son, Ryan Patrick was 5 month old.  The teachers in the infant room welcomed him with open arms.  The caring and concern given by the staff is wonderful.  Being a parent, you want to feel you have made the right choice in daycare.  We are positive that the decision we made was the right one.  Alphabet Academy is a nurturing environment that is full of caring, cheer, creativity, music, reading, learning, love and safety.  There is a personal connection that the staff gives to the parents. Which is so important & appreciated.  Our son now is 15 months old and has fallen in love with all aspects of Alphabet Academy, as we have as well. What more can a parent ask for?  Everyday, our son is happy to be with his teachers and friends.  He has developed on so many levels because of this learning center.  The whole staff at Alphabet Academy is marvelous and dedicated.  They make a difference each day in our child’s life and we are thankful that Alphabet Academy and its staff are there.

Keep doing what you are doing, because you are making an educational difference in our children’s lives. Thank you once again.

Warmly,
Emily and Dan Blakeslee

When it was time for our daughter to start attending daycare after staying home for the first year and a half of her life, and attending a home daycare for six months, my husband and I looked for “the” place that will provide developmentally appropriate practices for our little one; a safe place where she would be able to grow, learn, care for and be loved.

I visited a few centers; and found about Alphabet Academy online.  I was very curious to see what this center was all about.

When the director, Amy Small, called me she answered some of my key questions over the phone and was very flexible in scheduling a time for us to see the school.

I went in the morning of a great summer day and I was impressed by all the activities that were provided to the children at different levels: from the youngest to the oldest (babies, toddlers, preschoolers). The teachers interacted with the children and the children were very comfortable in their environment. It felt like home-away from home.  The teachers seemed very knowledgeable when it comes to child growth and development, and appropriate practices.  They did things with a purpose in mind. I felt right away that this was the place for my daughter to be.

Our daughter started attending Alphabet Academy in the spring of 2009.  She loved going to school. I like the fact that we are able to be part of her learning experience when she is away from us. I had the opportunity to go spent time in the classroom, and did an activity with the children. We have a very good relationship with her teachers, and the director. We work together.  If there is a concern, somebody is always available to make adjustments or make clarifications.

We are very pleased with Alphabet Academy, and our daughter will remain there until she is ready to enter kindergarten.

Trusting someone with your son or daughter during his or her most formative and impressionable years is no easy task, but for the past two years we have done just that with complete confidence. The learning environment at Alphabet Academy is that unique blend of exposure to unique opportunities and unabashed love. Our son adores his teachers, can’t wait to see his friends each morning, and keeps us entertained with countless stories of his adventures. It is a wonderful place to learn and grow.

Sincerely,
Eliza and Andrew Niblock

Hello Amy,

I wanted to let you know that Noah started his first day of kindergarten today at Dunbar Hill. Mya is in his class and Sylvia is across the hall. He rode the bus to school with his big brother Noel and knew all of the bus safety rules thanks to him being able to “practice” on the Alphabet Academy field trip bus rides.

Noah went for orientation yesterday and his teacher was very impressed with all the classroom rules he already knew. Such as being a good friend and picking something up when it falls on the floor. I am so thankful to Alphabet Academy for teaching Noah all the skills needed to make a successful transition to kindergarten. His last day at Alphabet Academy was sad. I brought my camera when I went to pick Noah up and we went around taking pictures with the teachers who were there. The hardest to say goodbye to was Ms. Gina. We hugged and she started to cry and so did I. I must tell you – and you already know – that you have the most wonderful, caring staff in the world. All of the teachers at Alphabet Academy are truly an extended family. It was wonderful to know that all of the teachers cared for Noah, and were a part of his pre-school team. It would make me so happy when Noah would run up and give one of the teachers a hug! Thank you again to you and all of the Alphabet Academy teachers for providing Noah with the best three years of pre-school learning.

Dear Amy and all the Teachers at Alphabet Academy,
How can we begin to thank you for the presence that you have had in Kylie’s first year of school?  Last night at the “end of summer” school-wide get together it was amazing to meet all the other parents and watch our children interact so happily with one another.  We honestly cannot put into words how amazing the mutual love our daughter, Kylie, her classmates, and her amazing teachers have for each other.  Special thanks to Miss Laura, and Miss Amanda (I cannot tell you how much Kylie LOVES them).  They have  truly made this year for us.

Alphabet Academy is such a special place, and this past year we all  have truly enjoyed everything about the school including the atmosphere, the newly developed friendships, the wonderful play area (including the sandbox, which is always a favorite), and most of all…the teachers. It takes very unique kinds of people to care for small children.  They are amazingly patient and enduring people who obviously enjoy what they are doing.  Kate and I have seen these qualities among each of the teachers at Alphabet  Academy.  There is a true involvement and commitment by each of the teachers at Alphabet Academy toward every child that enters the school, which I have to tell you we really appreciate!

Thank you again for the warmth and love that you and your staff provide for Kylie.  She looks forward to everyday spent at Alphabet Academy.

All our best,
Todd and Kate Manuel

Thank you to Amy and the wonderful teachers at Alphabet Academy-
When we finally decided to bring our daughter to daycare, we were disheartened by the options that were available. That was until we discovered Alphabet Academy. As soon as you walk into the center you know you’re in a special place where individuality and creativity is abundant. Our daughter has blossomed since we brought her to Alphabet Academy almost 2 years ago and we’re so excited that our son will soon be following her sister into such a nurturing and educational environment.
